What do trips include?

Trips include BOOKED Boxes with the selected book for the trip and themed goodies from makers around the world, single room accommodations with private bathrooms, roundtrip airport transportation, activities guided by local experts related to the themes of the selected book, and some meals as outlined in the trip itinerary.

Are trip deposits required? When do I need to pay for my trip?

A $500 deposit is due at the time of booking. Trip slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis based on when trip deposits are made. The remaining balance will be due 60 days prior to the trip departure. If you book within 60 days from the trip start date, the full amount will be due at booking.

Is food included?

Your trip will include daily breakfasts, some lunches as outlined in your itinerary as well as an opening and closing dinner. Dietary and allergy information will be collected leading up to the trip to ensure you’re taken care of. Do trips include flights?

Flights are not included in the trip price. Trips start and end in a major city with an international airport for your convenience. It’s up to you whether or not you want to continue your adventure after the trip ends!

What are the accommodations like?

Accommodations vary from trip to trip but we prioritize staying at 4- and 5-star boutique hotels. We strive to create an experience that’s authentic, easily accessible, and comfortable.

What if I arrive late for my trip?

Things happen and flights get delayed! If you will not be joining the trip at the time you originally planned, reach out to Jalisa Whitley - jalisa@bookedtrips.com or on Whatsapp get the most up-to-date information on how to join us.

When do I meet everyone?

One month before your trip, you’ll be invited to a virtual meet and greet and group Whatsapp chat to meet the other travelers and start exchanging information. Each trip kicks off with a welcome dinner and book discussion for you to meet everyone after settling into your room.

What do I need to bring?

You’ll receive a destination-specific packing list at the Meet & Greet one month before your trip. You’ll need a valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months from your return date. As we will be using shared transfers and spaces throughout our tour we recommend all travelers pack as lightly as possible. All travelers are allowed to bring one large piece of luggage (not exceeding 50lbs (23kg) in weight, with the dimensions 30” x 18” x 10”), one small carry-on (12”x11”x6), and a personal item.

Do I need to participate in all the listed activities?

Not at all! While you will be able to participate in all the activities listed on your trip, we understand sometimes you may want to rest or do your own thing.

What if I can no longer travel?

Your trip deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Any additional payments made more than 60 days before the trip start date can be refunded. Please review the booking terms for additional information.
